Mavs Weekend.
Two days. One community.
An organization-wide celebration of baseball, community, and giving back — held annually at Friendship Park in Mount Prospect.
A whole weekend
of Mavs.
Mavs Weekend brings together our players, families, coaches, alumni, sponsors, and supporters for two days that highlight everything the program stands for — teamwork, community pride, player development, and service.
Two days. Multiple fields. One organization. Everyone is welcome.
Home Run Derby
+ Family Festival.
The weekend kicks off with our annual Home Run Derby — Mavs players from across the organization swinging for the fences while families bring the energy. It's also our biggest fundraiser of the year.
- High-energy derby competition across all age groups
- Music, food, games, and prizes throughout the night
- Entertainment for kids + family fun for the whole community
- Proceeds support equipment, fields, and colon cancer research
Mavs Baseball
Showcase.
A full slate of Mavericks baseball games across multiple fields at Friendship Park — showcasing teams throughout the organization.
- Games featuring teams from across the program
- A full day at the ballpark, free + open to the public
- Concessions + Mavs merchandise on site
- Celebrating the growth of local youth baseball
Why we play this weekend.
Mavs Weekend isn't just a fundraiser — it's how we give back. Proceeds support equipment upgrades, field improvements, player development, and the charitable causes most important to our Mavericks community.
Awareness & Research
Research & Support
Both causes have impacted families inside the Mavericks program. We play this weekend for them.
It takes a village.
Mavs Weekend wouldn't happen without the families, volunteers, coaches, local businesses, and community partners that make it possible. We're growing this thing every year — and we'd love your help.
Want to volunteer, sponsor, or just bring the whole family out? We'd love that.
